Bon Voyage to all My Friends (and FLIES)

August 9:  I have decided to remove the bulk of this post’s content.  Originally, I used my forum for some major venting and f-bombs, but I’ve decided I do not want such words lingering and deviating from the focal point of this blog which encompasses only things that I love and for that which I am positively passionate.

For the next few weeks, I foresee this blog becoming more of a travel journal. That’s all fine and dandy with me because food, travel, and lifestyle are synonymous in my book. During this unpredictable fantastical journey, I plan to round up some serious inspiration, learn a few things, and maybe even relax in the hopes of repairing millions of this past year’s stress-damaged brain cells.

Not in this particular order, I shall be off to see:

  • Italy: Venice, Sorrento/Capri, Amalfi Coast/Positano, Rome/Civitavecchia, Portoferraio/Elba, Florence, Pisa
  • Croatia: Dubrovnik
  • Greece: Corfu
  • Monaco: Monte Carlo
  • France: Provence/Marseille
  • Spain: Palma deMallorca, Barcelona

To say that I’m excited for today’s departure is an understatement. For you see, this trip has been over one year in the making and I’ve been systematically counting down each day.

That was a figure of speech, don’t forget your suitcases! It sounds like you’re having a very well deserved vacation. The rest of us are living vicariously through you. I’m wishing you pleasant journeys.
